BRENETTA HOWELL BARRETT NAMED CHICAGO FREEDOM SISTER BY DUSABLE MUSEUM

Brenetta Howell Barrett, a luminary in the civil rights movement, political activist, state and city office- holder, newspaper reporter, minority business developer, and currently CEO of Pathfinders Prevention Education Fund, is included in an interactive exhibit at the DuSable Museum entitled, Chicago Freedom Sisters, paying tribute to outstanding Chicago Black women who have battled the status quo and advanced the cause of African American rights and empowerment. The exhibit is cosponsored by The Ford Motor Company and Macy’s. It runs through April 4. Ten women are honored as Chicago Freedom Sisters.
