WOMAN OF STEEL FOUNDATION PRESENTS 3rd COTILLION/BEAUTILLION GALA

President Bobbie Steele and members of the Woman of Steele Foundation held their 3rd annual celebration of scholars Cotillion/Beautillion Gala at the Oak Lawn Hilton. Ten young ladies and young men worked for four months preparing for this event.
The Cotillion-Beautillion Program presents young adults who exemplify strong morals and values, leadership, respect, and service within their schools and communities. The program fosters the educational goals of college-bound youths by giving those who have demonstrated outstanding moral principles, school involvement, and outside activities the opportunity to participate in a series of personal and professional development workshops.
All of the Debs and Beaus received stipends for their participation and three were awarded college scholarships. The 1st Place winner of a $3,000 scholarship is Hasaan Prentiss, graduating senior from Crane Medical Preparatory High School, attending Alcorn State University.
The 2nd Place winner of a $2,000 scholarship is Janeicia Williams graduating from Lane Technical High School and attending Howard University.
The 3rd Place winner of a $1,000 scholarship is Langston Harris graduating from Jones College Prep, attending either Morehouse College or the University of Missouri.
