CELEBRITIES FIRE UP ROBERTO CLEMENTE STUDENTS AT OPENING DAY RALLY

Chicago Public Schools CEO Jean-Claude Brizard was on stage at Roberto Clemente High School ringing the bell officially opening the new academic year. Tony Sculfield of WGCI-FM radio was whipping students into a frenzy of excitement in the Clemente auditorium. J’Marcus Webb of the Bears and Jimmy Butler of the Bulls greeted arriving students. Alderman Latasha Thomas and State Representative Cynthia Soto added official presence but were light-hearted as they welcomed the students, urging them to take school seriously and study hard this year. Beautiful pop singer J’Lyn entertained students with musical numbers.

Then, it was time for class and the school year had begun.
